Our Story

The inspiration behind Balm of Paradise is comprised of two close friends seeking solutions for two health issues. While one friend desperately searches for and creates natural  balms to alleviate her ravaging hormonal imbalance that came with its myriad of problems, the other experiments with natural ointments for her young son plagued with eczema and other skin issues that doctors couldn’t diagnose. As a result, they began separately developing different all natural butters to aid in their healing.

On their journey, they learned that what you put inside your body is as equally important as what you do and put outside. The skin is truly a reflection of what we consume and what happens within and around us; the choices like the foods we put in our bodies, the cleaning products used and the air we breathe has the power to help us cultivate good health or deprive us of it.

Upon swapping ideas over the years, Christine and Pascale decided to combine their efforts. What they discovered were soothing topical butters free of harsh and harmful chemicals that assist the body to heal its self from within.

We believe in investing in one’s self as our lives were transformed because of the power of real unadulterated food and creating a non-toxic environment in our homes. All that comes at a price but it’s all worth it! Our products are created for both women and men who seek plant-based skincare without nonsensical and harmful ingredients; less is more. Our products are gentle enough to be used on children; we customize orders so only kid safe essential oils are used or no scents at all.
